Communication trust

ScanWrench is a Michai Media product. Official product correspondence still uses the ScanWrench name, returns to scanwrench.com or the ScanWrench app, explains why the message was sent, and provides a direct verification path. The attribution does not change this: ScanWrench does not use a second customer-facing brand for account, support, security, or publication messages. Michai Media product attribution is not a second support address, account sender, checkout, or reason to trust a message that fails these checks.

Official channels

What ScanWrench will never request by email

  • Your password, one-time sign-in code, full payment-card number, vehicle-security credential, or OEM portal password.
  • A raw full VIN, driver identity document, or ownership document in an ordinary support reply.
  • Payment by gift card, cryptocurrency, wire transfer, or an unverified external checkout link.
  • Installation of remote-access software to bypass vehicle, account, or secure-gateway controls.

Account and purchase messages

Account emails are short security messages from ScanWrench Accounts. Their links should return to the ScanWrench app or scanwrench.com. App Store purchase receipts and subscription notices are issued by Apple and retain Apple branding; ScanWrench does not imitate or replace them.

Dispatch and The Signal

ScanWrench Dispatch is the public publication. The Signal is its optional email edition. Every marketing email must identify ScanWrench, link to the public issue, explain why you received it, and include a working one-click unsubscribe. Purchased lists and silent enrollment are prohibited.

Verify a suspicious message

Do not use a questionable message's links or reply address. Open scanwrench.com directly and report the sender, subject, time, and headers through ScanWrench security.
