Start with source-aware electronic evidence

Record generic and enhanced fault access separately, identify responding modules, preserve low-voltage and charging context, and label every channel the adapter or authorized account could not inspect.

Add the physical and ownership record

A qualified inspection should address collision and underbody condition, coolant leaks, charging equipment, tires, brakes, thermal behavior, service campaigns, warranty terms, title and ownership history, and current manufacturer guidance.

  • Do not treat no codes as no problems.
  • Do not turn an estimated battery score into a warranty fact.
  • Confirm fast and alternating-current charging where permitted.
  • Keep seller claims distinct from observed evidence.

Use the report to negotiate the next inspection

The best buyer output identifies unresolved risk and the specialist or test needed to close it. It should not certify an EV that the available paths could not fully inspect.
